Setelah operasi, kondisi Abidal cukup baik.
Pelatih Barcelona Pep Guardiola menyatakan bek asal Prancis Eric Abidal telah sukses menjalani operasi untuk mengangkat tumor di hati.
"Sejauh yang kami tahu, operasi berjalan baik, dan Abidal dalam proses pemulihan. Kita harus berterimakasih kepada tim dokter untuk usaha mereka dan semoga orang-orang menghargai privasi yang diminta keluarganya," ungkap Guardiola dalam konferensi pers.
Sebelumnya, pihak klub menyatakan Abidal mungkin keluar dari rumah sakit satu pekan lagi, tergantung kondisinya.
Tentang absennya Abidal, Guardiola tak terlalu mempermasalahkan, dan menganggap kondisi kesehatan seseorang harus menjadi prioritas.
"Abidal adalah orang yang sangat menyenangkan, dan telah bersama kami cukup lama. Kami mencoba berpikir positif tentang situasi ini dan berharap efek operasi ini seminimal mungkin," puji Guardiola tentang bek yang dibeli dari Lyon pada 2007 dengan kontrak lima tahun itu.
